Casserole Ingredients
  • 1 package frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup corn flakes for topping
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the hashbrowns, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the remaining cheese with corn flakes and sprinkle over the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding cooked bacon or diced onions to the mixture. Use freshly shredded cheese for a creamier texture. For spice, add diced jalapeños or cayenne pepper. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
